Dr. Lindsey Poe is a licensed clinical psychologist providing treatment to adults with a range of psychiatric symptoms such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. She additionally has specialized training in the intersection of physical health problems and mental health. More specifically, she has experience in the areas of infertility, reproductive health, functional bowel disorders, bariatric medicine, and diet/weight management. Dr. Poe is passionate about the impact of mental health on the overall quality of life.

INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
In individual therapy, Dr. Poe strives to create a safe, comfortable space to support the exploration of emotional symptoms. Often times, these symptoms are related to life and relationship transitions or the impact of a health diagnosis on quality of life. Dr. Poe’s therapeutic style utilizes a number of different approaches including: insight oriented and psychodynamic techniques, mindfulness, behavior modification, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Psychoeducational evaluation and counseling is available for individuals interested in third party reproduction, such as donor conception to address the ethical, emotional, and social implications of the process. A summary will be provided to you and your fertility clinic.
Psychological evaluation
ADHD Assessment
Comprehensive ADHD testing for adults is available. This assessment includes a clinical interview, pencil and paper tasks, as well as computerized assessment of symptoms. At the conclusion of testing, individuals will meet with Dr. Poe for feedback including a full written report, diagnostic impressions, and detailed treatment/educational recommendations.
Pre-Surgical Evaluations
The bariatric evaluation will assess your personal psychiatric history, diet and weight loss attempts, self-esteem, and other factors related to surgery. After the evaluation, you will receive feedback on any recommendations and a written report will be provided to you and your surgeon.
Donor Conception Counseling
Psychoeducational evaluation and counseling is available for individuals interested in third party reproduction, such as donor conception. Individuals or couples planning to use donor embryos, eggs, or sperm will meet with Dr. Poe for a psychoeducational session to address the ethical, emotional, and social implications of the process. A summary will be provided to you and your fertility clinic.
This educational session follows the recommendations of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine
consultation Services
Dr. Poe is available to provide psychoeducational workshops and seminars to patients in a variety of health care settings. She has experience in psychoeducation on topics such as stress management, mindfulness, grief and loss, relationship issues surrounding health issues, and self-esteem.
In addition to patient services, Dr. Poe is also passionate about providing support regarding women’s mental health. She is available for speaking engagements at businesses supporting women, leadership conferences, and wellness events.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your services covered by insurance?
Dr. Poe is an out-of-network provider and does not work directly with any insurance panels at this time. Services provided by an out-of-network provider allow you to receive treatment regardless of diagnosis and maintains the highest level of privacy. Depending on your specific insurance plan, many individuals do qualify for partial reimbursement. If interested, Dr. Poe can provide you with a “superbill” to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
do you provide telehealth services?
Dr. Poe offers both in-person and telehealth services depending on your needs as well as the services desired. Please let Dr. Poe know prior to any appointment if you experience any mobility issues that impact your ability to attend in-person appointments.
how does payment work?
Dr. Poe accepts payment directly through your patient portal or through Square payment via credit card. She offers a set fee for individual psychotherapy and evaluations and full payment is due at the time of the appointment. A billing statement will be provided at the end of each month, or at the time of the last visit.
